Who ever said creating a blog was easy? But here we are, taking a stab at it so we can keep you posted about all the great new fabrics, books, patterns and notions arriving on a daily basis.
If you aren't familiar with The Quilter's Inn in beautiful downtown Danville, CA, try to stop by and see us sometime. We're in a wonderful area; so many different restaurants to choose from. As fellow quilters, we know you have to fuel up before shopping, or refuel after you leave here. There's also an antique store called The Cottage Jewel--stop in and see Marcia for some one-of-a-kind buttons.
Our goal is to provide the friendliest, most helpful service you can find, as well as offer you a wide range of fabric styles. We have a whole wall dedicated to Kaffe Fasset fabrics, a nice selection of batiks, and fabrics from contemporary designers such as Sandy Klop, Anne Sutton, Amy Butler, Jane Sassaman, Valori Wells and Fig Tree.
Into wool embroidery? We feature a colorful section of hand-dyed wools and patterns for wool projects.
We love new patterns and books! Newest titles include Valori Well's Start to Finish, with her usual amazing array of incredible photography and projects. Innovative Fabric Imagery by Cyndy Rymer, who works here Fridays and every other Saturday, is in too. Cyndy is currently developing classes in Photoshop Elements--the first class sold out quickly; stay tuned for other classes. Another recent title is You're Invited! Quilts and Homes to Inspire by Barb Adams and Alma Allen.
